INTERSCHOOL COMPETITIONS
The Principal,
Dear Sir / Madam,
We are pleased to inform you the program for Bal Mathotsav 2010. This
is a unique festival of dance, music and colour. The annual interschool
competitions are highly competitive and fought in the spirit of comradeship and
fairness. . We are honoured by the participation that keeps on increasing year
after year. This is the 17th year of holding the competitions. We take
great pride in punctual and peaceful organization of the events.
We are located at Babulnath, Chowpatty and have the unique distinction
of being the spiritual capital of South Mumbai. Over 1000 citizens attend the
ashram every day. The programs range from Spiritual, social, medical and
cultural. The Ashram caters to every section and demographic of the society. We
have spiritual discourses in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and English. We have
social programs that cater to senior citizens, women, teenage girls and
children. Our medical services include preventive remedies like yoga, free
dispensaries for ayurved, homeopathy, ozone therapy, magnet therapy acupressure
and acupuncture. Lectures on issues that
relate to day to day life are very popular at the Ashram. We also have
counseling services for women. Participation in all these programs is free of
cost and open to all citizen irrespective of religion, caste and creed. Over 4,000 program events every year and growing ………..
This year we have
introduced a separate category for STD 1 and 2 students since competing with
std. 4 students is challenging for little ones. New competitions such as Mehendi
and vegetable painting have been introduced. A very popular event Dhamal
Chowkadi that encourages impromptu performances has also been re-introduced.
We request you to
nominate students for as many competitions as possible so that your school can become
eligible for best school trophy. This trophy is given to the school that excels
in overall performance which is measured by allotting points for wining
individual/team events.
Complete
details about the various events and the rules for each of them are enclosed
herewith. Please read important
instructions carefully so that you can prepare well for the events. Also read the rules for each event in detail
especially in case of individual talents where the participation is restricted
to classical items only. We desire to
have a very high level of performance and we request you to assist us in
achieving the same.
The
entry forms are enclosed herewith and the same formats should be used. The forms must be attested by the School Principal
at the space provided. Incomplete forms
and not duly authorized ones would be rejected.

note that the prize distribution will be on 26th January 2010 at
09.30 a.m. onwards at Prempuri Ashram.
Decision of the judges will be final.

January 2010
